Morgan Cox writes paranormal mysteries as M. N. Cox — dark fiction set in the small towns of Queensland, Australia, where ordinary-looking places turn out to harbour genuine danger.
Her Dora Hermansen Series follows a trauma survivor with an ability she'd rather not have, navigating hauntings, murder, and the particular darkness that hides in close-knit communities. Her North Queensland Vampire Series follows Sarina Massey — turned vampire against her will, working as a detective, and doing a certain amount of quiet vigilante justice that she doesn't advertise. Both series are told in first person, because Morgan is most interested in getting inside complicated heads.
Shortlisted in Queensland Writers Centre's 15th Publishable program for her novel, The Red Line, Morgan was born, raised, and proudly sets her fiction in Queensland. When not writing, she's at home reading, plotting, or being supervised by a rotating cast of fluffy oddballs — all of it fuelled by tea.
